Based in London, I have been working as an artist for just over ten years. I regard myself as an abstract painter but there is definitely a figurative element to my work. I generally prefer to paint in oil, using thick layers to make my pieces almost 3D.

Inspired by the abstract forms I see in and around London every day, I recently embarked on a series of urban landscapes. Billboards, tube station walls, dug-up pavements and decaying streets have all influenced these pieces. I have also begun to move away from using canvas to explore other media - newspaper, plaster and wood - to give a more rugged, urban feel to the work. ' Landor' and 'One Family, One Month...' were recently chosen for an exhibition at the Space C Gallery in Croydon. This series of urban works is ongoing and forms the bulk of my portfolio.

Lost Title (pts 1 and 2) were private commissions based on the work of British abstract painter John Hoyland.

Also featured on this site are my rural landscapes, ranging from the Wiltshire countryside to the Australian Outback. ' Wiltshire Storm' (pts 1 and 2) and 'Uluru' are recent examples. I will shortly be starting work on a series of abstract landscapes inspired by the Croydon Heathlands, again for exhibition at the Space C Gallery.
